I create art because I love the feeling of transforming a surface into something new.  From grade school desktops to fine art papers and canvas, I've always been excited to watch an image emerge from nothing.  I see myself as constantly evolving as an artist in skill and expression, but my work, in its purest form, will forever come from this desire.

For me, the process of creating art has become a sort of obsession.  When I'm working a piece, pushing and pulling layers of colors and sharpening detail, I'm acutely focused and at my happiest.

I studied art at Sacramento City College and the California College of the Arts.  2008 was my introduction to the public with many exhibitions throughout Northern California.  In September, I received my first award with second prize in the Pastels and Drawing section of the KVIE Art Auction.  I'm a Roseville Arts member and a proud artist member of Blue Moon Gallery.
