Since Picasso was trying to bring back in himself and in his work the childhood qualities of energy, expression, creativity, openness, etc., I am trying to save it in me.  This is one way to explain "Flowers By Paul."  My art is closer to being Postmodern Expressionism for lack of a better term.  They are often paintings of feelings with some recognizable images, but with the understanding and questioning of their context to contemporary art and art history.  I can also see the work relating to what Robert Rauschenberg did with his "combines" and Jasper Johns paintings, but they are in a different vain with the energy of the now.
